By making this contribution, you support the use of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in aviation. Sustainable aviation fuel meets the technical and certification requirements for commercial aircraft and is produced sustainably from alternative feedstocks, providing an environmentally friendly substitute for crude oil. Each kilogram of SAF reduces CO2 emissions by up to 80% in comparison with fossil fuel in its full product life cycle.
Important details
As a passenger, you can contribute about 1kg of SAF for each flight. The SAF fee will be applied to each flight and each passenger.
The exact amount of SAF depends on the market price and will be determined at the time of procurement. We commit to procuring and consuming the contributed SAF within 12 months of your flight date.
All proceeds from the sale are allocated to the procurement of SAF, and airBaltic does not profit from the sales of this product.
SAF fees are non-refundable, non-changeable to another flight or passenger, and non-transferable to another booking.
When purchasing SAF at the airBaltic Club Rewards shop, you must enter the booking details (booking reference number, name and surname of the passenger, departure and destination airport, flight departure date).
Order should be made not less than 2 calendar days before the flight.
SAF will be added to the flight indicated in your order within 48 hours of placing the order.
A confirmation e-mail that SAF has been added will be sent to you by airBaltic Club.
If you wish to add SAF to several flights, separate orders should be made.
